The spectra produced by atoms in an electric field can be used to learn about the arrangement of electrons in the atoms. In this tutorial, you will see images of light sources, their spectra, and graphs of light intensity vs. wavelength. If you are not certain how these three views of a light source are related to each other, read the tutorial on Light Sources.
