t test: One Sample

This program calculates the t test for one sample. This test compares the mean of the sample with a theoretical value for the population mean. The null hypothesis tested is that the population mean is equal to the theoretical value. This t test is used in two group experimental designs that are based on repeated measures or matched subjects. The mean of the difference between subjects' scores in the two groups is tested against a theoretical value of zero.

• Enter the mean, standard deviation (n-1), and n, the number of subjects, for each group.
• Key "Enter" after each value..
• Enter the theoretical value for the population mean
• Click the "calculate" button to compute statistics.
• To change a value, double click on the number then enter the new value.

To print the results, cut and paste to your word processor.
