t test: Independent Groups

This program calculates the t test for independent groups. This test compares the means of two samples and tests the null hypothesis that the means in the population are equal. In an independent groups design the subjects observed in the two samples are different subjects (the same subjects are not observed twice) and the subjects are not matched.

• Enter the mean, standard deviation (n-1), and n, the number of subjects, for each group.
• Key "Enter" after each value..
• Click the "calculate" button to compute statistics.
• To change a value, double click on the number then enter the new value.

To print the results, cut and paste to your word processor.
