What is Cab?

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) sponsors many of the social events happening all over the AC Campus. From the big spring concert and holiday ball to comedians and big prize bingo, CAB’s goal is to make sure that AC students are having fun, all semester long! The dedicated members of CAB work hard each week planning and advertising events for the whole campus to enjoy. All students are invited and encouraged to join CAB to be involved in the deciding who comes to campus.

Meetings take place every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the Student Activities Resource Room in the basement of the Hagan Campus Center. The general meetings run for roughly 15 minutes and then members break off into their subcommittees for the remainder of the hour. Regardless of whether you’ve been to one, five, or no meetings at all, everyone is welcome! CAB appreciates everyone’s help and is always looking for some fresh faces to join.

The subcommittees of CAB are as follows: Comedy, Special Events, Live @ Charlie’s, Concerts, Formal Events, Family Weekend and Siblings’ Weekend. Please click here to meet all of the executives and chairs for the '10/'11' academic year!

The CAB office is located on the main floor of the Hagan Campus Center. Feel free to stop by anytime, call extension 7058, e-mail cab@assumption.edu, or IM us at ACCABEvents. Don’t forget, "Keep Your Year Rockin'."

Take a look at some of CAB’s previous and events-in-the-making that rocked the AC Campus

Comedy Everyone needs to take break from school work every once and a while and de-stress. What better way to do this, than to laugh.  About once a month CAB brings comedians here to Assumption. Stop by and check one out!!!
Special Events

Special events provide an opportunity for students to enjoy a wide variety of programs. Special Events rang from trips off campus, to BINGO,  to game shows and drive-in movies. In addition to programs for all AC students

Live @ Charlie's

If you ever want to take a load off and listen to some good music come down to Charlie’s. Live @ Charlie’s committee plans all of the small coffeehouse performances and our annual AC Idol. Throughout the year we choose different performers to come and shed their talent on our Charlie’s stage. Live @ Charlie’s tries to mix it up with something different every month to accommodate the different tastes of music out there

Concerts

Two huge events are planned by Concerts. Fall fever, and the big spring concert are events that students look forward  to every year!  Fall Fever takes place during the Fall Semester and is a outdoor carnival for all AC students to have some. Spring Concert is AC’s largest concert of the year with past performers such as Gavin DeGraw and Third Eye Blind. Stay tuned to see what we’re up to and who the concert will be this year!

Formal Events Sometimes AC students like to trade it their sweatpants for something a tad more dressy Formal Events committee is in charge of planning a Winter and Spring Ball. Winter and Spring Ball are geared to Juniors and Seniors and have traditionally been held off campus.
Family Weekend

Takes place during the fall semester, Family Weekend allows Assumption students an excuse to see family and friends from home. Featuring an active carnival with plenty to do for family members of all ages, Family Weekend is a fun and exciting time for students Freshman through Senior!

Siblings Weekend

Takes place in the spring semester, Siblings Weekend is some serious fun for AC brothers and sisters. Sibs Weekend provides activities for sibs of all ages. Past Siblings Weekends have featured inflatables and various take home novelties.
