SERVICES:
Student Health Services provides health care for residential and full-time commuter undergraduate students. Clinic services are usually provided by licensed, certified Nurse Practitioners (a nurse who can diagnose illness and prescribe medications). Their services are covered by undergraduate tuition. Additional costs for certain services provided outside of the clinic may apply. These include pharmacy, lab, and x-ray services.
- Diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury
- Monitoring and support for chronic conditions such as diabetes
and eating disorders
- Asthma management and nebulizer treatments
- Testing for STI’s (Sexually Transmitted Infections)
- Gynecologic exams and pap smears
- Pregnancy testing and support
- Ear irrigations
- Daytime observation room for medical monitoring of sickness
- Physician consultation
On-site routine laboratory testing for:
- Strep Throat
- Mono
- Urinary tract infections
- Other tests that involve drawing blood or obtaining cultures
- Individual health counseling
- Suture removal
Off-site Campus Services for:
- Referral to specialists and other resources
- Diagnostic testing (x-ray, ultrasound, EKG, etc.)
- Physician Specialists
- Mental Health
- Substance Abuse
- Immunization Clinic
- Travel Clinic
- Anonymous HIV testing
