PAWS

Peers Advocating Wellness for Students - PAWS is an exciting wellness initiative for Student Health Services. PAWS is a peer education program -- Assumption College students trained and interested in helping fellow students to become more aware of important health issues. PAWS educators host events, participate in campus activities, and host the following workshops:

General Meeting Every Monday

6 – 7 p.m. at Student Health Services

All are welcome!

SHARE Social Health and Responsibility Education
The SHARE workshop is designed to help students develop skills to talk with partner(s) about their social health, including abstinence and the potential health consequences of sex, including sexually transmitted infections.
College and Lifestyle Management
During the CALM  workshop, students will practice a variety of stress management strategies and identify creative ways to fit stress management into a demanding schedule.
Sexual Assault and Violence Education
The SAVE workshop will give students the opportunity to identify and practice strategies to improve or enhance relationships and discuss when and how to end a relationship. The knowledge gained will aid in the prevention of relationship violence and promote greater awareness about the dynamics of sexual assault.
Practice Active Lifestyle
PAL is an energizing workshop that will give students the opportunity to discuss benefits of regular exercise, develop fitness goals and a plan to accomplish them, as well as identify barriers to exercising and ways to overcome them.
