Health Insurance

Massachusetts requires that student attending colleges in the state carry health insurance. Students may have coverage through their family's plan, their employment or other source. Students who need to purchase health insurance have the option to purchase a reasonably priced plan offered through the college. The Finance Office administers this option.

Health insurance coverage varies by plan. There are some 1,500 insurance plans in the United States. Whenever you need care that you hope will be covered by your insurance, it is a good idea to verify that coverage before incurring the expense. At Student Health Services, we have developed instructions to support you in calling your insurance carrier about benefits and costs for care.
