Students interested in the health professsions should consult the Pre-Professional Advisor, Dr. Heather Wilkins. Meetings are held with students each semester to provide current information, answers to questions, and guidance. She also helps students with their applications to professional schools, and chairs the Recommendation Committee for the Health Professions, a faculty committee that prepares the letters of recommendation for students.
The Department also sponsors a Career Night each year when Assumption science graduates return to share information about a wide range of employment opportunities available to Assumption students. Information on job openings is posted in the Testa Science Center and announced to all majors. Many students find their own contacts for employment while doing an internship (see above).
