Dr. Gilbert Meilaender

Member of President Bush’s Council to Speak at Assumption

Worcester, MA—Assumption College is proud to present a lecture by Dr. Gilbert Meilaender, a member of President Bush’s council on Bioethics. The lecture, called “Keeping the BIOS in Bioethics,” will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 7:00 pm in the Salon of La Maison Francaise.

Dr. Meilaender is a professor of Christian Ethics at Valparaiso University in Indiana, and the author of several books, including “Body, Soul, and Bioethics.” Dr. Meilaender’s lecture will explore the moral and spiritual challenges of Bioethics.

The lecture is co-sponsored by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute in Wilmington, Delaware, the Student Government Association, the Office of Academic Affairs at Assumption, and the Ecumenical Institute.
