Assumption College and the Beck Institute for Cognitive Studies to Sponsor Workshop on Teaching Parenting Skills

January 27, 2003--Assumption College and the Aaron T. Beck Institute for Cognitive studies will be sponsoring a workshop called “Teaching Parenting Skills” on Tuesday, February 7, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. in the Salon of La Maison Francaise with Dr. Paul M. Rosen.

This workshop will present techniques for clinicians who are helping parents deal with problems with their children. Participants will learn techniques for dealing with a wide range of problems including fighting between siblings and children with low self-esteem.

Dr. Paul M. Rosen is a clinical psychologist and Clinical Director of Educational Support Programs at the Central Massachusetts Special Education Collaborative. He is also a lecturer in the Counseling Psychology Program at Assumption College.

This event is sponsored by Assumption College’s Aaron T. Beck Institute for Cognitive Studies. Founded in 1996, the Beck Institute annually hosts speakers and conferences that address research and therapeutic developments in cognitive therapy, as well as moral issues faced by therapists and clients.
