AC Band Christmas Concert

November, 2002—The Assumption College Band will perform its annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 6, 2002 in the Hagan Center Hall on the campus of Assumption College, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA. The Concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. and is free to the public.

The 35-member Assumption College Band will feature Clarinetics-Richard Meyer with Andrew Tomaski ’06 as soloist. The repertoire will also include Tunbridge Meadows-Mark Williams, Hymn to Joy-James Ployhar, Te Deum Prelude-Phillip Sparke and Fiero-Steve Hodges. Christmas favorites such as Sleigh Ride-Leroy Anderson, A Family Christmas-James Swearingen and Swingin’ Into Christmas-James Ployhar will be included. Also, two Manheim Steamroller arrangements will be featured, Stille Nacht and God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen.

The concert will be conducted by Bruce Hopkins, director of the Assumption College Band.
