“Worlds of Women” Presentation at Assumption College

January 24, 2003—The Women’s Studies program is pleased to announce a panel discussion with Elisa Martinez on the lives of Afghani women on Wednesday, January 28, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. in the Salon of La Maison Francaise.

Ms. Martinez, a young woman working for the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (C.A.R.E.), has had the opportunity to travel to a number of countries around the world talking with women about their dreams and concerns in their everyday lives. Her presentation continues the Women's Studies program’s theme this year, which is bringing the experiences of women in diverse cultures to the attention of the Assumption community.
