| "Perceptions
of Christ/Images of Faith": d'Alzon Arts Series Exhibit
October,
2004—On Wednesday, October 20, 2004, Assumption College's
Emmanuel d’Alzon Library will host the opening reception for
a special exhibit, "Perceptions of Christ/Images of Faith."
The event will take place at 4:00 p.m.
This particular exhibit will gather artists from various parts of
the U.S. and recognize their different perceptions about who Christ
is and what he stands for. Most of the artists on display are professional
artists from the United States representing regions such as Massachusetts,
New York City, Colorado, New Mexico and Vermont. There are artists
from many cultures, including Native Americans and Latinos. All
come together with separate visions of what faith means to them.
The mediums in which the artists produce their work include painting,
photography, drawing and computer art.
The exhibit will run from October 18—November 26, 2004. It
is free and open to the public during Library hours. A complete
list of exhibitors and photos of their artwork can be viewed here
at the d'Alzon Library's website.
