Corporate Education Center Courses at Assumption College
August, 2004—Assumption
College’s Corporate Education Center is offering several courses
and workshops this fall.
A Medical Coding and Billing course begins August
30, 2004 and ends December 13, 2004. Classes will be held on Mondays
and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Advanced Medical Coding
will also be held from September 13-October 18, 2004. These classes
are also held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
A Microsoft Office workshop will begin on August
30, 2004. This workshop will run for 10 sessions, Wednesdays from
6:00-9:00 p.m. The cost is $555.00. A Web Design with Dreamweaver
workshop will also begin on August 30, 2004. This workshop will
run for 10 sessions, Tuesdays from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The cost is $555.00.
The Corporate Education Center, in cooperation with the Society
for Human Resource Management, is presenting Essentials
of Human Resources Management, a 15-hour seminar for those
seeking to enter the field of HR, and for employees with management
responsibilities. This seminar begins August 31 and ends on September
28, 2004. The registration deadline is August 27, and discounts
are available for HRMA, SHRM, and NEHRA members.
In cooperation
with the Society for Human Resource Management, the Corporate Education
Center is presenting The SHRM Learning System,
a 35-hour seminar for HR professionals and those preparing to take
the national PHR/SPHR Certification Exams. Registration deadline
is September 3, 2004. Discounts are available for HRMA, SHRM, and
NEHRA members.
Two programs for those interested in starting their own business
are also being offered: Entrepreneurship & Small Business
Management: A Toolkit for Getting Started and Succeeding in Your
Own Business, on Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 pm, September
1-29, 2004, and Creating a Business Plan, on Wednesdays
from 6:00-9:00 pm, October 6-27, 2004. Mark L. Love, CPA, MBA, will
be teaching the seminars. Seating is limited, and registration is
ongoing now through August 30, 2004.
A Wine Workshop with noted wine expert Dr. Robert
Ouellette will be held on Tuesdays, beginning September 7 and ending
October 5, 2004, from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Seating is limited, and registration
is ongoing now through September 3, 2004.
