Candlelight Memorial Service for Third Anniversary of September 11th

Assumption's Garden of RemembranceSeptember, 2004—Assumption College will be holding a candlelight memorial service on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at 9:11 p.m. to commemorate the third anniversary of the attacks on America. The service will take place in the Garden of Remembrance, located on the walkway between the Hagan Campus Center and the Information Technology Center.

Assumption community members are invited to come together in song and prayer to remember the victims of this tragic day.

The Garden of Remembrance, pictured at left, was built in September of 2002 to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. The garden has three large stones, each with a bronze plaque indicating the date, time, and place of each attack. A fourth bronze plaque dedicates the garden to those who died on that day, including alum Thomas Linehan '84.
