Jaron Rider
Director of Campus Recreation
Jaron joined Assumption College as the new Director of Recreation. Jaron came to Assumption College from Winthrop University where he served as the Program Director for Recreational Services and Facilities. He received his Masters of Education from Lynchburg College and his Bachelors from the University of Connecticut. He has over 15 years experience working in campus recreation in the areas of facility management, club sports, fitness, intramurals, and outdoor recreation.

Patrick Guerette
Assistant Director of Campus Recreation / Intramurals, Sport Clubs & Camps
Patrick is entering his third year at Assumption College. He received his Masters of Education degree in the spring of 2007 from the University of Maine. During his graduate work he served as a Graduate Assistant in the Campus Recreation Department overseeing Sport Clubs and Intramurals. Patrick also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in Kinesiology and Physical Education. He competed on the Cross-Country and Track team while pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree.

Scott Butch
Assistant Director of Campus Recreation / Facilities, Aquatics & Instructional Programs
Scott is beginning his second year at Assumption College as the Assistant Director of Recreation / Facilities, Aquatics & Instructional Programs. In 2008 he received his M.S. from the University of New Hampshire in Recreation Management and Policy. While at UNH Scott worked as the Graduate Assistant for Intramurals and completed his Master's Thesis titled A Study of Organizational Culture in Campus Recreation: A Competing Values Approach. As an undergraduate Scott received his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. Scott is a member of NIRSA and NRPA, an "E" licensed soccer coach, a FIFA Level 8 Soccer Official, and a NSPF Certified Pool Operator.

Amanda Durkin
Administrative Secretary
Amanda joined the Recreation Department as the Administrative Assistant in October 2008. As a former Office Manager and Comptroller, she brings extensive bookkeeping and customer service experience from her 12 year career at Kakas Furs of Newbury Street in Boston. Amanda attended Northeastern University, majoring in Accounting. During her years at home raising a family, Amanda has served as Treasurer of the Norrback Avenue School PTO, Managing Trustee for the Winter Heights Subdivision Maintenance Trust, and Instructional Director of the Joe Schwartz Little League in Worcester. Amanda resides in Worcester with her husband, Paul, and three sons, Brad, Kevin and Shawn.

Cheryl Cote
Aquatics Coordinator
A graduate of Assumption in 1994 with a degree in English & Psychology, Cheryl has served as the Aquatics Coordinator for the past nine years. She administers the Learn-To-Swim program while also training the lifeguard staff at the Plourde Recreation Center. She is a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor, a supervisor at the State pool in Clinton, MA, and works as a full time teacher at North High School in Worcester.
