Hours are subject to change for periods in which the campus is not open, either for a scheduled close, inclement weather, or other circumstance.

 

New Email System Help

Our current email environment is a version of Microsoft Exchange, which Microsoft is not planning to support after 2011. We have been planning to upgrade the system for nine months and expect to complete it over the Christmas holiday. We will move email accounts to the new environment in January. After your account has been moved, you will see a new, improved and faster Houndmail system.

Mobile Devices: As we have progressed with this project, we are finding out that some older phones need to be upgraded or are not compatible with the new systems. In general, we do know that the current mobile operating systems (OS's) for Blackberry, Apple iOS, Windows Mobile and Droid will work.

 

The following operating systems are currently supported:

  • Blackberry 4.5 and higher
  • Apple iOS 3 and iOS 4
  • Windows Mobile 6 and higher
  • Android 2.1, 2.2.1, & 2.3
My.Assumption.edu (Portal) (Link)

The campus portal ("My.Assumption.edu") is accessed by the address my.assumption.edu and can be accessed both on campus and off campus. Your portal login username is your email username preceded by "assumptionnt\" without "@assumption.edu."

For instance, the username for a faculty/staff member named John Doe might look like this:

Username: assumptionnt\jdoe
Password: (John Doe's private password)

Houndmail (Campus Webmail) (Link)

The campus webmail is accessed by the address houndmail.assumption.edu and can be access both on campus and off campus. Your houndmail login is your email username followed by your email password.

 

CampusWeb Faculty Login (Link)

Faculty can access the CampusWeb class and grade management system from the registrar's website.

 

Issues with Passwords

Password Change System (Link)

Regulations require that faculty and staff intermittantly change their passwords. This can be done on campus or off campus at http://www.assumption.edu/password

 

Password Policy and Reminders

The campus is updating its password policies, which take effect for all faculty, staff, and administrators beginning in April, 2010, following the Easter recess. The IT Department is maintaining a list of resources for the campus to help ease this transition. Our policy change timeline and resources are listed below:

Password Project Archives

Please remember that ITMS Staff will never ask you for your private password. Malicious emails known as "phishing" emails may resemble emails that you might expect from the ITMS Department. If you ever receive a suspicious email, do not hesitate to double-check with the ITMS Department at helpdesk@assumption.edu or to call the Support Hub at 508-767-7060.
