START Retreats
Developed
by students in 1999, the START Retreat
program offers the opportunity
for students to get off-campus for 24 hours to begin reflecting
on issues of identity, community, commitment, and faith. Each
retreat is student-led and includes talks, small group
discussionstimes for reflection, and opportunities for students
to relax with one another, have fun, as well as grow in their
faith. Students who have attended a START
1 Retreat are encouraged to go deeper on a 48-hour
START 2 Retreat. Seniors
are invited to participate in the Senior Retreat in mid-February.
All students, Catholic and non-Catholic, are welcome
to attend! If you need to get away and want to meet
new people interested in growing in their faith, START Retreats
are the place to be.

Senior Retreat
This 24-hour retreat is designed for, and by, members of the graduating class to give them and their peers an opportunity to reflect on the past four years and to look ahead, with hopeful anticipation, to their years beyond Assumption. The retreat is held off-campus at a retreat center and is open to any member of the graduating class. Retreat elements include: reflection on the development of one's identity and faith over the past four years, small group conversations, large group activities, and opportunties for prayer and laughter-filled entertainment! No previous retreat experience is required.
For more information about this year's Senior Retreat, please contact Hannah Brencher or Stephanie McCaffrey at 508-767-7476.

Spare Change Retreat

"If you want peace, work for justice."
- Pope Paul VI
In 2005, Campus Ministry offered its first Spare Change Retreat, designed to help students reflect upon the Christian call to advocate for social justice. This one-night retreat includes interactive activities, as well as talks and small groups that help students integrate the Gospel call to peace and justice more fully into their lives. All students of any faith background are welcome to participate!
For more information about this year's Spare Change Retreat, please contact Stephanie McCaffrey at 508.767.7476.

SEARCH
SEARCH
(Students Encountering and Responding to CHrist) was
created during the 2000-2001 school year and provides students
with the opportunity to help give retreats in service to high school students in the Worcester area, many of whom are
preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation. During the past academic
year, SEARCH worked with St. Luke's parish in Westboro, St. Edward
the Confessor in Westminster, St. Joseph in Pepperel, St. Rose
of Lima in Northborough, and St. Richard's in Sterling. Join SEARCH
if you are interested in sharing your faith and making a meaningful
difference in the lives of high school students.

All
SEARCH meetings are on Thursdays at 5:30 PM in the LLC
6th floor lounge. Please come - all are welcome!
For more information about SEARCH, please
contact either Brianna Murphy, '12 or Rob Tyler, '10.
Parishes interested in having SEARCH assist with a retreat should contact Stephanie McCaffrey at 508-767-7476.
