Sophomore Shadow Program

This program will offer students an opportunity to experience the workplace and network with alumni/parents.

Who? Sophomores apply to be matched with an alumni or parent who has volunteered for the program.

How? Click here for the student application or here for the alumni/parent volunteer form.

When? The shadow experience can take place over break or during the semester. Students will be exposed to a workplace environment for a full or half day.

Where? Students can search the Mentoring Network to find mentors within their area of interest.

What happens? While shadowing a professional, students will observe some of the tasks performed in a specific occupation and see first hand the workplace of an alumni or parent. Students will be able to ask questions about the skills and experience needed to succeed in the environment they're observing.

Why? This program provides sophomores with an experiential learning activity that will assist them with portfolio development, networking and career exploration. Alumni and parents will have an opportunity to contribute to the professional development of an Assumption sophomore.
