The motto of the CALLS Program is “Start Early – You Own Your Success”.
CALLS is an integral part of the career planning process here at Assumption College. Suellen Lazarek Dean, the CALLS Coordinator works with first year students as they begin their education at Assumption College and begin the process of portfolio development and exploration.
During a CALLS appointment, students will have an opportunity to set individual goals, be connected to resources that will help them get involved in campus life and will be given a CD Rom with information on building a portfolio, self assessment and links to help with exploring majors. Active participation in campus life will assist students as they develop lifetime learning skills that will help them succeed both personally and academically during their college years.
The CALLS Program encourages students to make the most of their time at Assumption and to capitalize on the incredible opportunities available within the Assumption campus.
As part of the First Year Mentor Program, new students will have an opportunity to meet upper class students who can serve as a valuable resource on campus and help first year students build confidence and a sense of connection to the Assumption community. During their sophomore year, students can participate in the Alumni/Parent Job Shadowing Program
