Blog Entry:
Interning at Applied Science Laboratories has been a great opportunity for me to gain hands-on experience in the business communication field.  Working specifically for the Customer Relations Department has allowed me to see how a large company communicates with its distributor partners and its day-to-day customers.

My most valued experience during my internship this spring has been developing a way to better help foreign distributors fill out their annual quarterly forecast sales reports.  I created and presented a distributor memo to my Customer Relations supervisor that specifically details the sections that need to be filled out correctly on the forecast sales reports.  This allows ASL to receive the proper feedback information.  This has been a valued experience for me because ASL has implemented this memo into their annual distributor communication process.

Every week I work with highly trained professionals who specialize in communicating about Applied Science products to both domestic and foreign distributors.  My work is valued and also critiqued to help me gain more knowledge and experience in the field of business communication.  The internship has provided an incredible opportunity and I am grateful to ASL for having me on board!
