Wednesday, May 15: Brussels, Anderlecht, and Bruges

Unified Guildhouse Facade of the Dukes of Brabant

Despite a delay from a baggage strike in Zaventem Airport in Brussels, we were able to make our noon appointment with the Assumptionist Community in Brussels at the Church of Mary Magdalen. After a hearty lunch with the Assumptionists, we visited the spectacular Grand Place, a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with the famous Manneken Pis nearby, and the spectacular Cathedral of Sts. Michael and Gudula, then a visit to the sixteenth-century Erasmus House in Anderlecht, before arriving at our charming and elegant Hotel Ter Brughe in Bruges.
