Stephen Brewer G'74

Senator Stephen M. Brewer represents 29 towns in Central and Western Massachusetts and is engaged in his fourth term as a Senator in the Legislature, where he has served since 1997. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and a master’s degree in history and government from Assumption. Prior to his election as State Senator, Steve served for three terms on the Barre Board of Selectmen and four terms in the House of Representatives. He also served as an aide to Senator Robert Wetmore for eight years. He currently serves on the Senate Committee on Ways and Means, the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security and the Joint Committee on Veterans & Federal Affairs.
